Kathleen Mackay is a journalist and author. Her latest book is Bob Dylan: Intimate Insights From Friends and Fellow Musicians, published by Omnibus Press in the spring of 2007. The book includes interviews with musicians who have known Dylan well throughout the years, ranging from Pete Seeger to Bono to the Beatles.
Ms. Mackay has also co-authored four books (see Publications) and written for many national magazines and newspapers. She began her career at 16 as a reporter for The Daily Journal in Caracas, Venezuela.
Fluent in Spanish and French, she is a graduate of Harvard. She earned certificates in piano and music theory from the McGill Conservatory of Music in Canada.
She lives with her husband, David Garcelon, in Concord, Massachusetts.
